Tết Week

Tết or the Lunar New Year is the most important holiday for the Vietnamese people, as it is considered as an important mark for changes, plans, and progress. Every year, UCSB's Vietnamese Student Association welcomes the new year with a week long celebration full of festive activities, traditional board games, delicious food, and passing out lì xì (red envelope) to shower out members with good luck! This cultural week is very fun and festive because it gives UCSB students and our surrounding community an opportunity to not only celebrate the Lunar New Year but to also be more aware of and educated on the culture and traditions of the Vietnamese community.
